Hawzah News Agency- The festival was organized by the Al-Qabas Foundation for Culture and Development in collaboration with the holy shrines of Imam al-Hadi and Imam al-Askari, Imam al-Hussayn, Imam al-Kadhem and Imam al-Jawad, and al-Abbas (peace be upon them), as well as a number of intellectual and cultural institutions. The event was held at the Baghdad International Fair from 12 to 16 February 2026, coinciding with the days commemorating the birth anniversary of Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance).
The program was organized by the Quranic Institute in Najaf Al-Ashraf, affiliated with the complex, with the aim of instilling and promoting Quranic culture among youth and children. It included a Quranic competition, the distribution of gifts to participants who correctly answered the competition questions, as well as a chanting performance by Husseini munshid Muhammad Baqir Qahtan.
The festival featured a wide range of activities, including exhibitions of books, photographs, drawings, engravings, and Arabic calligraphy. It also included purposeful theatrical performances, displays of valuable items and artifacts from the museums of the holy shrines, along with several other activities that contributed to highlighting Islamic cultural identity and strengthening the educational role of religious and social institutions.
